Open Access Policy-IJAIGP

Full Open Access Commitment

IJAIGP is a platinum-tier open-access journal. All published articles are made freely and permanently accessible to every reader worldwide, with no subscription fees, registration requirements, or embargo periods. This reflects the journal's foundational conviction that scholarship on AI governance, ethics, and public policy — disciplines with direct implications for democracy, human rights, and social justice — must be available to all stakeholders, not only those with access to expensive academic subscriptions.

Creative Commons Licensing

All content published in IJAIGP is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license grants any user the right to share, reuse, adapt, and redistribute published material for any purpose — including commercial use — provided that appropriate attribution is given to the original authors and source, a link to the license is provided, and any modifications are indicated.

Article Processing Charges

To support the costs of peer review management, professional copyediting, typesetting, DOI registration, and long-term digital preservation, IJAIGP applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance. The current APC schedule is published on the journal website and reviewed annually.

In recognition of global research inequalities, IJAIGP offers a transparent APC waiver program for authors from low- and middle-income countries (as defined by the World Bank), early-career researchers, and authors facing documented financial hardship. Waiver applications are assessed independently of editorial decisions to ensure no conflict of interest.

Self-Archiving Rights

Authors are actively encouraged to deposit the final published version of their article in institutional or disciplinary repositories (such as SSRN, PhilArchive, or institutional open repositories) immediately upon publication. The journal's published PDF may be used for all self-archiving purposes. Authors should always include the full citation and a link to the original DOI.

Digital Preservation

IJAIGP is committed to ensuring the permanent accessibility of all published content through participation in recognized digital preservation initiatives. Archiving strategies are designed to safeguard the scholarly record against platform changes, technical failures, or journal discontinuation, ensuring that published research remains accessible in perpetuity.
